Anybody know Nick Stahl? Played in lots of things, T3, Sin City. Apparently he vanished near Skid Row in downtown. Sad story, he's a pretty good actor. If any of you frequent or live in downtown I guess call the police if you see him.

Can I have another artist watch my table?

Hi, I had a quick question!

I'm going to have an artist table and my friend and his brother are going to have their own table. I was hoping I could have one of them watch my table while I went to grab some food real quick and maybe take a quick look around. When filling out the artist alley application, will I need to provide both their seller's permits and IDs? Or since they will already be sending those in for their own table, will I just have to leave some kind of a note on the application with their names stating they will be watching my table occasionally?

Alright guys, time to get some discussion going on about dance!

DAY ONE - FRIDAY NIGHT - POKEMON DANCE AREA

Dress up as your favorite Pokemon... trainer... character whatever!

Much like last year, we may look for people who have the best cosplay, look, energy, etc that fit into the theme of the night. We are going to try to offer prizes and swag for those participating and may allow early entrance into the dance! More information on that... HERE

These themes, like our previous ones, are NOT MANDATORY, but we do like to throw cosplay events that allow for a lot of people to participate

Tabletop 2012 Official Event: Tanto Cuore DBG Tournament Day 3

Announcing the AnimeExpo 2012 Tanto Cuore DBG tournament.

Format? Multiple tables with Final Table

Where? Anime Expo 2012, Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles, California

When? July 1st (Sunday): 4pm - 9pm

Note: Other organized and scheduled games at the con include Yu-Gi-Oh!, Texas Hold 'Em, BESM and Pokemon TCG

Price? Free to enter with valid convention badge for the day the tournament is held.

Prizes? All kinds of anime goodies and Tanto Cuore goodies

What will you need? Absolutely nothing! All game material will be provided by the game room. It is recommended that you have a working knowledge of the game, to help you work fast. Feel free to come to the game room on days 1 and 2 and learn to play.

Basic Rules:

By participating in any of these events you agree to abide by the rules of Anime Expo, the Tabletop Gaming Room, the Los Angeles Convention Center, the city and county of Los Angeles and any other administrative bodies present at the convention. Guidelines for the convention can be found at the Anime Expo website. Detailed rules governing the tabletop gaming room can be found at the room itself. You may not sell or buy cards while at Anime Expo unless you are a vendor in your approved booth at the dealer's hall (doing so is against room, convention, city and state law). You may not play for ante or cheat. You must maintain proper hygiene throughout the course of your time in our room.

Tournament Specific Rules:

All general rules and errata for Tanto Cuore will be in effect. For information check the official site. There will be 2 rounds within the tournament. Round 1 will consist of 6 tables, each seating 4. Players will be using either Tanto Cuore or Tanto Cuore: Expanding the House(expansion). Players will play until the end game condition, 2 maid piles being depleted. At that time players will count all victory points and the winner of each table will move on to Round 2.

Round 2 with consist of 1 table of 6 players. This table will use cards from both sets of Tanto Cuore, including all love cards, Building AND Event cards and all private maids. This will follow the rules addendum for 6 players, as laid out in the Expanding the House rulebook including the altered endgame condition. Once the game ends the player with the most victory points wins!

This format limits the field to 24 players. If more players are interested, a second flight will start after Round 1 of the first tournament ends.

Gameplay: Maid stacks to be used during the game will be set for each table as opposed to random pile generation. The pile list will be revealed at the start of the tournament.

This tournament is sponsored by Cardhaus Games.

Con Wide Event - Gunslinging
Check out the Game room for the staff gunslingers. This is where you can dust off your old cards and take on the staff with whatever deck you want! Challenge the staffer to a battle and if you can beat them you could win a cool prize! I will personally be gunslinging Pokemon Modified (will play against unlimited).

This is also the best way to keep track of those in theme when our AXDance Idols/Hostesses go around looking for their favorite themes to award.

Information about purchasing tickets to gain access will be updated at a later date.
(this only for people that aren't attending all of the convention and want to see our DJs perform nightly. If you have or are planning to get a convention badge you still get access already to AXDance 2012.. means no additional badge or cost is required).

Requirements | Restrictions | Details(2012):
* AXDance 2012 is held this year inside the Los Angeles Convention Center, to gain access to the building in the evening alone you're need a badge OR AXDance pass/ticket.

* Ages 14+ can gain access into AXDance.

* Having some kind of IDENTIFICATION and or PASSPORT is a must if you're playing to arrive in the evening.
Identification that has photo and proof of age (passport/state/drivers/permit/school IDs)

* An official Anime Expo 2012 badge and or pass(that indicate AXDance officially) is required to gain access to the actual event.

* AXDance team strongly urges against bring in any weapon replicas and or over-sized props, expect to be turned away if you do so an we feel its a danger to people in the room.

*Any items you put down... LACC & Anime Expo aren't responsible for any lost / misplaced items- please be careful where you place your valuables.

* No outside food or drinks... bottle-water is currently the exception. (Since we're in a new location for 2012, looking to accommodate with possible vending and or food trucks near by)

+ Smoking area is available.

+ In an outs are allowed.(will possibly have to get back in line and get checked each time).

+ There will possibly be more available seating. (more information at a later time)

+ MUST HAVE YOUR SHOES ON!

*All policies and / or restrictions are subject to change to better your AXDance experience.

Some Additions(2012):
+ Will have a system for those that keep losing their badges every day/year that will still gain you access to the party so this year fear not mortals.

+Day Zero and or any other AXDance night you do NOT have you badge/passes .. you will STILL be able to gain access via confirmation print outs and or smart phone email. ..your welcome.

+Those wanting to ONLY just attend AXDance and not the rest of the con.. you can purchase ticket/pass at 'TICKETING' which will be located next to the party.

+Expect a light security check to make sure no one is bring in an inappropriate items.

+There will be NO professional Cameras allowed inside the AXDance event. To get approval must submit the following:

Wow...
I haven't posted here in forever!

This is a plug for my buddy Lucas Schuneman and possibly a helpful aid to potential singers here. Lucas has brought together two of the winners of AX Idol Singing:
Mario Bueno - 2010, and
Rachelle Hager - 2011
for a roundtable discussion on AX Idol's singing competition.

In this hour-long session, they give awesome tips and notes on how to better showcase your performance skills and talent. Lucas has been asked by many hopefuls on ways to up their chances to get into the finals and has put together this audio stream as a result.
